Dear Families,

We are pleased to share the exciting news that construction has officially begun on the new Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School in Oshawa. Visit dcdsb.ca to see the full groundbreaking announcement details and photos.

This state-of-the-art facility, located at 1001 Greenhill Drive in Oshawa, will serve students in Grades 9 through 12, offering both English and French Immersion programming. Scheduled to open in September 2027, the school will accommodate 1,061 students in a 127,000 square foot, three-storey building. The project is supported by $71.065 million in capital funding from the Government of Ontario, and we are grateful for their continued investment in Catholic education in Durham Region.

The new site is strategically located in Oshawa’s growing north-east, close to new development, community facilities, and transit options. In addition to modern learning spaces, the new school will feature community-connected walkways, collaborative areas, and recreational facilities.

We will continue to keep families informed as the project progresses through regular updates and community engagement opportunities.

Sincerely,
Durham Catholic District School Board
