Students tackle STEAM Challenge at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School

The Grade 5/6 class at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School worked hard on their STEAM challenge, the “Leaning Leprechaun Challenge”.  With only craft sticks, small toy blocks and plastic cups, students' teams were challenged to build the tallest tower they could and to try experimenting with different bases and layering techniques.  Thanks to M. Anctil’s encouragement, students were pushing each other to try different ideas and build impressive towers that would balance and stand!  Nice to see that St. Thomas Aquinas has some budding engineers!!  Way to go Grade 5/6!!
